Get to Know Me
Hi! I'm Kenneth J. Brame, the Founder of Conscious Minds Mentoring, Encouragement and Guidance Agency Corp. (Conscious Minds MEGA), a Nonprofit 501(c)3 Corporation. Our focus is geared toward mentorship, self care and life-skills. I was born and raised on the southside of Chicago in the Englewood community. I am a product of the HBCU (Historical Black Colleges and Universities). I attended South Carolina State University, where I was a member of the Men's Basketball team. I completed college at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX. where I earned a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Physical Ed. After graduating from PQC, I taught a variety of grades and coached several sports on the elementary and high school levels in the Chicago Public School system for 20 years. As someone who likes to re-invent myself, in 2014 I earned a second B.S Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State University-Dominguez Hills. In 2015 I relocated to the Dallas area and started working in the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement field. In being someone who is passionate about helping people, I followed a dream and vision I experienced in 2017. My life's purpose, TO SERVE PEOPLE, was revealed to me. I reflected on the role I played in the growth and development of so many of my former students, former athletes, parents, co-workers, family, and friends in helping them break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. I remember sharing that life is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. GOD had put me in a position to help individuals achieve a more positive outlook on life, and to provide them with a variety of tools necessary to get them there. With Conscious Minds MEGA it is now my mission, desire, and purpose to help you recognize and obtain better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals.
